With the total cost of 754,000 Afs, funded through the development budget of Ministry of Finance (MoF), as many as ten drinking water wells have been recently accomplished and handed over in different villages of Sayed Karam district of eastern Paktia province.
The construction contract of these wells was inked with Wali Khel Community Development Council (CDC) through the National Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Programme (Ru-WatSIP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).
The construction work of this project created around 90 working days for the residents of the related villages, and with its completion, around 250 families got access to clean drinking water.
