Almost 190 families provided with clean drinking water in Nangarhar

With the total cost of 3,166,619 Afghanis, which were funded by UNICEF, one water supply project has been recently completed and handed over in Qala-e-Dasht village in Surkhrod district of eastern Nangarhar province.

This water supply project included boring of an 110-meter deep well, construction of a 20-cubic meter water reservoir, extension of a 2,100-meter pipe network and installation of solar panels and 25 tapes.

This solar-ran water supply network project was executed by Dawlat Abad Community Development Council (CDC) through the National Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Programme (Ru-WatSIP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).

Creating around 120 working days for the residents of the pertaining locality, with the completion of this water supply project, around 190 families were provided with the clean drinking water.
